Michelle Yeoh has revealed she has become a grandma – after her husband Jean Todt's son Nicolas gave birth to a baby boy.
The Oscar-winning actress, 61, who married Todt, 77, in July after a 19-year engagement, sparked widespread confusion about becoming a mother after she posted a snap of the newborn's feet on New Year's Day with the caption: “A small miracle on the first day of 2024.
“We are truly blessed…I can't express how happy I am for this very special bundle of joy.”
Well-wishers and celebrities, including Sharon Stone and Naomi Campbell, quickly began congratulating the star on the birth of her first child – prompting the star to post snaps with Jean and clarify that she had indeed given birth to a grandchild.
She wrote: “Thank you so much, dear Nicolas and Darina, for making us the happiest and proudest grandparents!! Welcome baby Maxime.'

After 19 years of involvement, Yeoh said “yes” to the former Ferrari CEO in July 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Brazilian racing driver Felipe Massa announced the good news on Instagram. Massa shared a few snaps from the ceremony as well as a beautiful card that detailed their love story and revealed that the couple first met in Shanghai, China.
It featured a sweet photo of Michelle – who made history in March when she became the first woman to identify as Asian to win an Oscar – and Jean together. The card said he had proposed to her two months after they met, and she said yes.
It was also said that now, after 6,992 days (19 years), they had finally tied the knot surrounded by their family and friends.
The card read: “We met on June 4, 2004 in Shanghai. On July 26, 2004, JT proposed to MY and she said YES!”
“Today, after 6992 days on July 27, 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together!”
The Miss World Malaysia winner also brought her iconic Oscar to her wedding, whose golden statue can be seen in several photos.

The couple previously told the Financial Times that they met when Todt unveiled a car at an event, calling the meeting “like a fairy tale.”
Todt is a well-known figure in the world of motorsports and Formula 1. He helped lead Ferrari to multiple world championship titles and later became FIA President until 2021.
In 2014, Todt shared a sweet anecdote in which he revealed that he had learned how to text to woo Michelle and asked former racing driver Michael Schumacher for help.
“I don’t use a computer. I do not know how. My maximum is SMS. Actually, I wanted to communicate with my wife. So I spoke to Michael Schumacher. We were together. He said send a text. I said I didn't know how to send one. So he was the one who taught me,” he shared.
Yeoh was previously married to business tycoon Dickson Poon from 1988 to 1991.

Although she would have liked to have children, her attempts to become pregnant during her life failed.
She previously told THR, “I love kids… I really, really wanted to have a family, but unfortunately that didn't make me happy.”
Todt now shares son Nicolas Todt from a previous marriage.
