He also said that although Charlie supported Arsenal, he was a fan of rival football team Tottenham, proving the competition between the two.

“Charlie knows his stuff very well [football] As a child he played football. He was pretty good. Much better than me.

Before we go any further: “Charlie loved beautiful objects.” He liked antiques, he liked furniture. “So we talked a lot about things like that.”

Mick also recalled how he and his close friend listened to reggae music “before it became mainstream”, with their shared love of different genres of music.

This comes after the band drove fans crazy when they confirmed they would be returning to the music scene with their first album of new material in 18 years.

Sir Mick, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood reunited at a special live event for their new album Hackney Diamonds, their first since the death of drummer Charlie.

And Sir Mick also revealed exactly how she decided to work with Lady Gaga, 37, sharing that it was a somewhat spontaneous collaboration.

He talked about how Lady Gaga was recording her own music in a studio next door while she was in Los Angeles and just popped in to say hello.

But then the singer landed on her new track Sweet Sound of Heaven when she spontaneously started singing with Sir Mick.

“She came next to me and we started singing together,” Jagger told AP backstage. “She sang it live and then we went in and cleaned it up a bit.”

On the new album, recorded in studios around the world in December and January, the Stones collaborate with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, who helped assemble the star-studded guest list that includes former Stone Bill Wyman .

Sir Mick said of Bill’s involvement: “We asked Bill to come over and do a track so we could have the original line-up on a track.”

Among the star-studded guest list, the Rolling Stones also included actress Sydney Sweeney to star in the music video for the album’s lead single “Angry.”

In the video, the 25-year-old Euphoria star put on a hot show as she slipped into a leather crop top and matching skimpy shorts.

In the video, directed by Francois Rousselet, Sydney mimics the single’s lyrics while performing a series of dance moves in the backseat of a car driving through Los Angeles.
