Mick Jagger is back in Liverpool ahead of the Rolling Stones’ first concert in the city in over 50 years.

And the legendary frontman, 78, appeared to be in high spirits as he left his hotel for Anfield Stadium on Thursday.

It comes as the legendary rockers are set to perform tonight as part of their Summer 2022 European tour ‘Sixty’.

Mick looked dapper as he waved to the crowd in a smart pink jacket over a crew neck jumper of the same color with a black and white shirt collar.

As he entered the vehicle, he tucked his long hair under a matching baseball cap.

When they take the stage at Liverpool FC’s home ground, it will be the first time the Stones have played in Liverpool since 1971, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Liverpool concert is the third show of The Rolling Stones’ “Sixty” European summer tour.

It kicked off on June 1st in Madrid, Spain with a show at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, followed by a concert in Munich, Germany, which took place at the Olympiastadion.

According to Billboard, during the trek they will also perform two nights in London’s Hyde Park as part of the massive American Express Presents BST Hyde Park Festival.

The tour will cover a total of 10 countries and will end on July 31st with a concert at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

Earlier in the day, the star took to his social media platforms and shared a series of photos of himself striking a pose alongside some of the more well-known monuments and murals, including cuddling a statue of Cilla Black.

In the first photo, Jagger can be seen next to the Canada Boulevard sign around town, dressed casually in tan jeans with a black coat over a purple patterned shirt and gray beanie.

“It’s been so long since I’ve been to Liverpool – looking forward to Anfield tomorrow night,” the legendary frontman, 78, told his 2.5million Instagram fans and followers, along with his 2.4million others on Twitter.

There’s another picture of the Start Me Up singer-songwriter laughing while wrapping an arm around a famous statue of the late singer Cilla Black on Matthew Street.
