In the coming months, IT giant Microsoft will build four data centers in L’Ancienne-Lorette, Donnacona, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures and Lévis.

Over the next two years, Microsoft will invest $500 million (approximately $687 million Canadian) to expand its large-scale cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure in Quebec.
Future data centers will be added to the data center that Microsoft opened in Quebec in 2016.
The expansion includes an increase in Microsoft’s computing capacity by approximately 240% over the next 3 years.
“Today’s announcement underscores the significant investments Microsoft has made in Quebec and is just the latest example of our deep commitment to Quebec,” said Chris Barry, president of Microsoft Canada.
