Mike Batayeh, a comedian and actor who appeared in several television shows including the acclaimed hit “Breaking Bad,” has died, his family announced. He was 52.

Batayeh died at his home on June 1 of a “massive heart attack,” his five sisters said in a statement to CBS News on Friday. His manager told CBS News he died in his sleep.

“He was a kind, sensitive, intelligent and gifted soul,” said Batayeh’s sisters. “This is a devastating loss of a huge life and Mike will be missed by us and so many people in all parts of the world.”

Batayeh is known to fans of Breaking Bad as Dennis Markowski, the industrial laundromat manager who served as the front for a meth lab in the award-winning series starring Bryan Cranston, Anna Gunn and Aaron Paul. According to IMDb, Batayeh played the role in three episodes of the fourth and fifth seasons.

Batayeh has appeared on several other TV shows including CSI: Miami, JAG, and Everybody Loves Raymond. He also appeared in the Adam Sandler film Don’t Mess With The Zohan.

As a comedian, Batayeh has performed in both the United States and the Middle East, appearing in a comedy special for Showtime Arabia, according to his sisters. According to the statement, he also performed at a comedy festival in Jordan’s capital Amman at the invitation of the Jordanian royal family.

His sister Jeannie and his parents died before him.
