Mike Evans incredible record

Mike Evans’ incredible record

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans improved his record with consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 receiving yards, never falling below that plateau in ten seasons.

The 30-year-old reached the prestigious mark on Sunday in his twelfth game of the season. He had seven catches for 162 yards and a touchdown in a 21-18 win over the Carolina Panthers.

In his nearly decade-long NFL career, Evans has hauled in 737 balls for 11,275 yards and 90 majors.

The most impressive thing about these numbers is that the Texas A&M University product only played three seasons with Tom Brady at quarterback. Other centers throwing him the ball include Josh McCown, Mike Glennon, Jameis Winston, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Baker Mayfield.

Only one receiver has had more consecutive seasons of at least 1,000 yards than Evans. This is Hall of Famer Jerry Rice with 11 campaigns. However, the latter began his super career in his second year in the NFL.
