Mike Tindall has addressed claims that Matt Hancock left the I’m A Celebrity group chat – but implied he was never actually there at all.
The chat was set up after the show ended in 2022 so Mike, 44, and the others could connect.
Rumors circulated that Matt left the group after falling out with his roommates.
Speaking to the Sun, however, Mike appeared to dismiss the idea, saying: “I think there was a misunderstanding with that, nobody left the WhatsApp group.
“I actually see Sue [Cleaver] tomorrow, and I’ve seen Sue and spoken to Baba a few times [Aleshe] and talked to pretty much everyone.
Speaking of which, Mike Tindall has hinted that Matt Hancock has never been in an “I’m a Celebrity” chat
He continued: “Well, we’re trying, but it’s not easy. You always have these great plans when you’re in the jungle, but when you come back you remember how life was before.”
It comes after Scarlette Douglas revealed in January that she was spooky two months after the end of the last series of all her I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here co-stars.
The 35-year-old presenter explained how she wrote a message on her WhatsApp group asking how they were all doing – but not a single person replied.
She exclusively told Web: “I just said, ‘Hey team, how are you all? I miss you very much.” And no one answered. I guess that means nobody misses me.’
However, Scarlette assured that a meeting was on the calendar as Chris Moyles was throwing a birthday party.
The former A Place In The Sun host continued: “We’ll all be there so we’ll have a nice little mini reunion which will be good.”
Scarlette was eliminated second to Charlene White while Jill Scott was crowned Queen of the Jungle and Owen Warner was second. Matt came in third place.
The TV personality recently announced that her green card has been approved to work in the US and that she can’t wait to take her career as a presenter across the pond.
Not true: Rumors circulated that Matt left the chat after he got into a fight with his housemates, but Mike said no one left the WhatsApp group
But Scarlette has revealed that she applied because she believed there would be more opportunities for people of color in the American entertainment industry.
She explained: “That’s exactly why I applied for my green card in the first place. I don’t feel like there’s that glass ceiling in the States because they’re a lot more open.
“You have so many more channels and networks and opportunities for people like me to be seen.
“There’s a show called The Real that’s basically like Loose Women but with an all black panel. Well, we had Loose Women with an all-black panel… but it’s like, “Oh my god, it’s a certain day that it’s a black panel of women,” when it’s just supposed to be a norm of, “Oh , it’s a body of women.”

“It’s just the norm in America. Nobody questions the fact that the first day of Black History Month or whatever the entire blackboard is, it just is, it’s not questioned.
Scarlette recounted a time when she and her brother Stuart received an influx of racially charged tweets following the debut of their show Worst House On The Street in August 2022, which featured a black couple looking to remodel their home.
She said: “When I realized there was still a little stigma and the sticking point here was when the first episode of Worst House On The Street aired.
“It was me and my brother, we are both black and the couple we filmed with was a black couple. The backlash we got on social media and, you know, tweets to me and to Channel 4 and to me and my brother.
Opening up: But Scarlette has now announced that she made the application as she believed there would be more opportunities for people of color in the American entertainment industry (pictured December 2022)
“They said, ‘So now it has to be black all the time. Why is it for blacks? I don’t want to go to Croydon, it’s only blacks.’
“I don’t think I tweeted back, I don’t like giving him airtime. But in my head I was like, “Don’t worry guys, you’ve got white couples in the next five episodes,” but I shouldn’t have to justify that, it doesn’t have to be a thing.
“So I think America is a lot more open. But at the same time we’re having conversations and I’m talking to some of my black male friends who are in entertainment or in music or in sports who would like to go to America, but then there’s also this concern about, well, what is Police brutality Like over there with black men?
“There are so many things to think about, but I’d just like to go there and at least try and just see what happens.”
