Milan Lucic is taking an indefinite leave from the Bruins after he was reportedly arrested following a domestic incident.
According to WCVB-TV, the 35-year-old star was arrested in Boston early Saturday morning.
The details of the incident are unclear.
The Bruins said they were “aware of the situation.”
“The organization takes these matters very seriously and we will work with the Lucic family to provide them with any support and assistance they may need,” the team said in a statement on Saturday. “We will have no further comment at this time.”
Boston head coach Jim Montgomery also addressed the situation.
“As an organization, we take this extremely seriously,” Montgomery said, according to the Boston Globe. “[Lucic] is currently on leave from the team and we support the Lucic family and we will continue to provide support and assistance to the Lucic family and out of respect for their privacy that is all I will say on the details at the moment.”

Lucic is in his 17th season in the NHL and has played nearly 1,200 games for the Bruins, Kings, Oilers and Flames.
The left winger won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011, left Boston after the 2014-15 season and returned eight years later as a fan favorite.
In his first year back, Lucic played four games in October and has been sidelined since then with an ankle injury.
