Miley Cyrus took to Instagram to share a video of her private jet being struck by lightning and her sister later revealed they “almost died”.
The 29-year-old singer shared video of the storm on her social media and attached a photo of the lightning’s impact on the outside of the plane. She wrote: “To my fans and anyone who is concerned after hearing about my flight to Asuncion. Our plane was caught in a big unexpected storm and struck by lightning.
“My crew, band, friends and family, who all traveled with me, are safe after an emergency landing. Unfortunately we could not fly to Paraguay. 💔 I LOVE YOU.”
Her sister Brandi Cyrus, who was also on the plane, later took to Instagram Stories to share more details about the storm. She said (via Mirror), “I’m going to try not to be dramatic but we almost died the plane is going down like that!”
She added: “Just wanted to let everyone know that we are safe and healthy! We were out all day and all night so we used the day to rest and relax. It was very scary being caught in the storm but we are all so grateful. The pilots and flight crew handled everything perfectly and got us to the ground safely.”
