Josh Flagg and his husband have separated.

Million dollar list: The 36-year-old Los Angeles star revealed in a text message on his Instagram on Friday that he and husband Bobby Boyd are “divorcing.”

“This may sound harsh, but I felt it should be transparent on top and not obscure the header,” he wrote. “It was not a rash or impulsive decision. We thought very hard before coming to this conclusion.”

“It wasn’t a lack of love, but rather that the two of us grew up in different directions and wanted very different things for ourselves,” Flagg continued. “I care deeply for Bobby and have nothing but love and respect for him. I want the way we separate from each other to represent that.”

“Thank you all for your unwavering support,” he concluded.

Flagg also shared the announcement on his Instagram story along with some images from the Brando Resort, an exclusive luxury enclave on French Polynesia’s private island of Tetiaroa.

The shocking ad garnered almost 5,000 likes in less than an hour of posting, with Flagg’s MDLLA colleague Heather Bilie Altman commenting, “I love you both so much and have so much respect for both of you ❤️.”

Following Flagg’s announcement, Boyd released a statement of his own on his Instagram page, explaining that the couple have been navigating their new normal for the past couple of months.

“For the last 6 years of my life, I wouldn’t trade for anything,” Boyd began his post. “6 years ago I met and fell in love with my best friend. From the first date we were inseparable and flew apart with lightning speed. Josh and I have had a whirlwind love story for which I will be eternally grateful. both taught each other so much and learned so much about themselves during our relationship.

“Since the news has come out, it may come as a surprise to most of you, but Josh and I have spent the last couple of months figuring it out together. We wanted it to be private between us and not for most of our friends and family. If there’s one thing I can say about both of us, it’s that we both gave everything we could to make it work.”

Boyd added: “Unfortunately, as we have learned, sometimes love is not enough. We have found that we want different things in life, and our paths now look very different. I love Josh with all my heart and will always respect and respect him. I admire him, I am infinitely grateful to him for showing me that true love exists.

“And now, today, we both embark on our new journeys. This may be the end of our romantic relationship, but I will always consider him part of my family.”

He concluded by writing a note to Flagg, as well as to their followers: “Joshua, I love you and wish you nothing but love and absolute happiness. Thank you all for your love, support and understanding.”

Flagg and Boyd, also 36, married in a Jewish ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel in September 2017.

The 2018 episode “The Million Dollar List: LA” documented the pair’s explosive falling out a week before the wedding, which arose after Flagg turned to Boyd for support following a disagreement with co-star Josh Altman.

Flagg and Boyd got engaged in the summer of 2016 while vacationing in Paris.
