Milly Méndez is ready to inspect from “Day by Day”

Being able to engage with the public through her investigative work has been one of communicator Milly Méndez’s priorities in the discharge of her duties for more than two decades. Therefore, it celebrates the doors that open on its path to fulfill its purpose. Precisely today, a facet begins his journalistic mission as a member of the television space Día a día (Telemundo).

For the communicator, a commitment to exploring possible alternative solutions, pursuing the questionable and contributing to the well-being of a community through reporting has always been a must in her professional balance.

“I’m very grateful. I have to admit that sometimes it’s hard for me to process because it’s a great opportunity that the Telemundo family is offering me,” says the journalist with 23 years of experience, who will lead the segment, with a big smile Find Find out with Milly Méndez on the show, which airs Monday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm

“I love auditing. It’s something I will continue to do here on a daily basis. We will do things related to the agent. I love connecting with people and doing things that resonate very well with my personality and what I do on the radio as well,” said the host of RadioIsla 1320’s Tell me the truth Environment and current affairs reports that we cannot abandon them. We’re going to be doing a lot of auditing, especially with an election year coming up,” she said, admitting that she appreciates that her new roles don’t interfere with her work raising little Milena. “I’m trying to find a balance between what I love, journalism, and my family, which will always come first,” Méndez said emphatically.

The communicator will join the team made up of Raymond Arrieta, Dagmar, Gil López and Víctor Santiago. “The encouragement from all colleagues was great. I’m really very happy with the deal. It’s a family,” he emphasized of the interactions prior to his launch into the program.

In October, the veteran journalist announced her resignation from the show Cuarto poder (WapaTV). “I’ve had a break,” she shared thoughtfully. “Starting in the summer, it was a very difficult time for us because Julio’s mother (Rivera Saniel) got sick and then we set some family priorities,” he added of the delicate condition of María Saniel Banrey, who died in September.

Again, the time that must be devoted to the 5-year-old girl is non-negotiable. “It’s always been a priority for my daughter, for my husband and for me,” she reiterated. “Milena demands her freedom. Sometimes when we’re working, she comes up and asks, ‘When are you going to quit?'” he added of the value of sharing with family. “I say being a working wife and mother is tough, but you can. Over the years I’ve been able to be in the right place at the right time so that Milena’s upbringing isn’t compromised,” said the Utuadean, who is also a producer.

Knowing that both parents have a responsibility to raise children, the partner’s complicity has contributed to the balance of the upbringing. “I always say that he is fulfilling his responsibilities as a father and he is a present father. I really admire single moms who don’t have that support. My mom was a single mom and I’m sure a lot of women in Puerto Rico are in the same situation that they have to work, they have to take care of their kids, they have to raise kids and being alone, it’s a lot difficult. I used to know it, but now I’m very aware of how difficult it is.”

Curious like her parents

Inquiring about the world around them is a normal part of childhood. Milena is no exception, and more with the investigative streak that comes to her from her parents.

“It’s curious. Ask a lot. He talks up to his elbows. Sometimes there comes a time when I look at Julio and I’m like, ‘Isn’t she venting?’ and he goes on and on and asks you, he asks everything “The proud mom said with a laugh in one of the phrases during the classroom conference at Telemundo’s facilities. “A moment ago we were in the makeup area and (she) asked the makeup artist, ‘How do you start being a makeup artist become?’ because she wants to be a makeup artist, photographer and fashion designer.”

Although sociable, he is initially projected with some caution when interacting. “She’s quite outgoing, but at the same time she can be shy if she doesn’t know you. You can gradually enter. Once he knows you he lets go,” he added of the smiling little girl, explaining that “he has my look because everyone says he looks like Julio but yeah he has my look.” Except for hers Affection is another aspect she inherited from her parents, persistence.

The connection to her sentimental partner was an element that pays off in the process of managing the minor. “As a couple they are 10 years old, married they are 8,” the journalist reviewed, sharing the aspects that have strengthened their union. “Dialogue. I respect. I have to admit that Julio is my biggest fan. He’s the one who encourages me, the one who drives me,” he said with a big smile. “We’ve known each other for so long. We study together .He was my best friend and from best friend he became my husband.”
