Mindy welcomed Kit on December 15, 2017. Kit’s middle name is a tribute to Kaling’s late mother, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012.
She previously made her decision not to reveal her daughter’s father clear by telling The New York Times Magazine, “My feeling is that I won’t talk to anyone about this until I talk to my daughter about it.”
