Mineiro answers the R$1 million question on Domingão with Huck

Arthur Abrantes, 26, from Minas Gerais, reached the final of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” hosted by Luciano Huck, on the show “Domingão com Huck” on TV Globo. On Sunday evening (November 5th), he received applause from viewers despite losing the million dollar question. This is because he has reached the final stage of the dynamic with the right to help and has already guaranteed at least R$ 300,000.

After a series of correct answers, the final question was, “Which cities marked the founding on April 21st?” The correct answer was Brasília and Rome, but he answered Brasília and Barcelona.

Despite the mistake, Arthur left the show to great applause from the audience and Luciano Hucks. He won R$300,000, which was his safe harbor when the participant set the minimum prize he would take home.

Abrantes comes from Paracatu in the northwest of the state. He studied at a public school but then moved to the United States and studied computer science at Harvard University, becoming the first black Brazilian to graduate from that institution.
