Porridge case
Mingau, a member of Ultraje a Rigor since 1999, was shot dead in his own car in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, on the eve of his 56th birthday. The police arrested one of the suspects.

The musician was taken to the Hugo Miranda Municipal Hospital, but a few hours later was able to be taken by helicopter to São Paulo, where he underwent a tracheostomy (a procedure in which an incision is made in the front part of the trachea) to insert a cannula, which transports air into the lungs). Almost a month after the violence he suffered, the musician opened his eyes.

To cover the high medical costs, Isabella founded a public fund and the “Together for Porridge” campaign. The money will be used to finance the two operations already carried out by the musician, which amounted to R$ 319,000 in costs for the surgeon, the assistant, the anesthesiologist and the medical team.

With a goal of R$600,000, the family intends to purchase robotic rehabilitation gloves that will cost R$3,000. The rest of the money will be used for a third operation that Porridge has to undergo to insert a prosthesis.
