Rio Isabella Aglio, daughter of bassist Mingau, took to social media this Thursday (30) to show her father’s face for the first time since the member of the band Ultraje a Rigor was shot in the head in Paraty. “There is laughter and joy, but also a lot of crying… I’m doing everything I can, Dad. Everything will be fine, I promise,” the young woman explained in the caption of the photo in which she can be seen next to the musician.

In another publication, Isabella explained that 56yearold Rinaldo Amaral Oliveira remains in the intensive care unit of the São Luiz Itaim Hospital in São Paulo. “We are still in intensive care battling pneumonia. Fear overcomes me, but I know the road is long and I need patience,” she said.

Last week, Mingau’s daughter announced a benefit show that will take place in São Paulo on December 14, with the aim of raising funds for the recovery of her father, who has been hospitalized since September. Confirmed musical attractions include: Claudia Gomes (Banda Vega), Dinho Ouro Preto (Capital Inicial), Leo Jaime, Marcelo Nova and Drake, Maurício Gasperini, Roger Moreira (Ultraje a Rigor), Thunderbird and Tico Santta Cruz (Detonautas). Members of SBT’s “The Noite,” Murilo Couto and Juliana Oliveira, will be the emcees of the event.

The young woman also started the “Juntos pelo Mingau” campaign and asked the musician’s fans for help with a fundraiser. “I am very grateful for all the miracles that have happened. My father is alive and recovering, step by step, over his time,” she shared.

The aim is to raise R$ 600,000 to cover the medical costs of two operations (surgeon, assistant, anesthesiologist and clinical team) for Mingau, wheelchair and rehabilitation gloves, in addition to a third operation to insert a prosthesis, which will take place around four o’clock should last up to six months. To date, 5,995 people have contributed to the fundraiser, raising an amount of R$261,850.17.
