The son of supermodel Helena Christensen and The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Wednesday for punching a 24-year-old woman in the face during an argument at the San Gennaro Street Festival in Manhattan last year.
Model Mingus Reedus, 22, has been sentenced to five private consultations.
He wore the same tailored brown suit he wore to his other court appearances after he lashed out at a complete stranger in September.
Mingus claimed that the woman and her friends were drunk and followed him for two blocks, pulling his hair, splashing water in his face and threatening his friends.
Lawyer Isabel Kirshner told that she was in talks with the district attorney to lower the charge from petty assault to disorderly conduct, a violation only in New York City.
Mingus walked the runway for Calvin Klein and appeared on the cover of Parisian Vogue Hommes just a week before the incident.
His announcement comes as crime continues to skyrocket in New York City, with total crime up more than 45 percent from the same period last year. Criminal assaults also rose by 17.2 percent.

On Wednesday, the runway model wore the same brown tailored suit he had used for other court appearances in the case.

His lawyer previously told that the allegations against him were “baseless”.
“I believe that based on the evidence, there is no credible evidence to support the allegations,” Kirshner said before Mingus pleaded guilty on Wednesday.
Mingus, who lives in Chelsea, appeared to be wearing the same slim, tailored brown suit he wore to his previous court appearances in February and November.
Towering over Kirchner and the photographers, the model wore a blue surgical mask and a white tank top, with a messy brown bowl cut framing his face.
Last month, Kirchner’s lawyer said “nothing” happened in court and that the case was quickly shelved due to the backlog of court cases caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Each day, 80 cases are put on hold, it goes without saying,” she explained to . “Misdemeanors have always been considered for a very long time. They are resolved without trial… it is difficult to get a misdemeanor trial, it is even more difficult to get a trial during a pandemic.”
Mingus, who followed in the footsteps of his mother, a real-life Victoria’s Secret Angel, has been taken into custody following the September incident.
According to the NYPD, his victim was hospitalized with a cut under his left eye.
Reedus also appeared in court back in February (above) on the same charge that he allegedly hit a woman on Mulberry and Baxter Streets in Manhattan.

After the incident, Mingus told the New York Daily News that the woman was one of the “drunk girls looking for a fight” who “surrounded” him, and that the cops who arrested him “refused to listen to the context.” .’
Mingus said the women followed him and his friends for two blocks, “throwing food at [them] and scream.
“We told them to leave us alone, but they continued to harass me, threatening to harm my girlfriend and her friend.”
When the group reached the corner of Mulberry Street and Grand Street, Mingus told the Daily News, the women attacked him, “one pulled my hair from behind, the other splashed water in my face.”
He said he “thrown out his hand” to protect himself, accidentally hitting a woman.
“It was instinct,” he explained. “I was reacting to them surrounding me and feared for the safety of my group.”
The incident comes just a week after Mingus made his debut on the cover of Vogue.
He was featured on the cover of Vogue Hommes Paris Fall/Winter 2021-2022 alongside Parker Van Noord, son of the late model André Van Noord.
Christensen and Reedus, best known for his role on The Walking Dead, began dating in 1998. Mingus was born the following year.
