A Minnesota mother has been charged with allegedly torturing her nine-year-old son by drawing blood from him with needles and then flushing it down the toilet.
Jorden Borders, 32, of Crosslake, was charged Wednesday with three counts of child torture and two counts of stalking.
Medics determined someone had drawn his blood, but the mother blamed the hospital. She claimed the hospital took too much blood from her son.
However, after speaking to their three children, investigators learned that their mother’s siblings had watched and were told not to say anything, according to CBS.
Her other two children were not left unscathed, as their mother had herself diagnosed them with osteogenesis imperfecta, or brittle bone disease.
She forced her children into neck braces and casts, though she sustained no real injuries, sources say. Investigators also learned that one of the children was forced to wear a cast for two years.

Casting materials were found in Borders’ home, according to CBS.
On her Facebook page, Borders has often posted pictures of her children, including one in which her youngest appears to have a feeding tube through his nose.
In another photo, her daughter can be clearly seen wearing a ruff and a beaming smile on her face.
And the mother posted profile pictures with filters from nonprofit organizations.
The kids also said Borders would “choke” them until their vision blurred, “throw them across the house,” leave them out in the cold for long periods of time, and hit them with belts, CBS reported.
One of the children also told investigators that he never had a bed.
“I was never sure,” one child reportedly said.
The mother also reportedly received up to $35,000 from charitable organizations.
Borders faces up to 95 years in prison with fines of up to $145,000.
No court date has been set yet.
