A year ago, she said she had “feared” her parents’ deaths her whole life.
Mira admitted in August 2022 that her grief was still very great.
‘I miss you dad! I have feared the death of my parents my entire life. Now it has partly come true,” tweeted the Barcelona actress.
She added: “I have great compassion for everyone who has lost their parents.” It unnerves you, puts you in a position you were unprepared for, without the advice and love of those you care about most were close to our hearts…”

A broken heart: She shared that she misses her father and is having a hard time dealing with his death in July
Mira – whose mother is Paul’s ex-wife Lorraine Davis – received support from her famous friends. Star Wars actor Mark Hamill wrote: “Dear Mira, your loss is shared by a world enriched by his talent and impeccable artistry. “His legacy is immeasurable, like you, I will forever cherish his memory.”
And Patricia Arquette wrote: “I know it is a great loss.” “Your father was also a wonderful actor and so proud of you.”
Mira previously paid tribute to her “wonderful father” after his death.
She said: “My father, the great Paul Sorvino, has passed away.” My heart is torn – a life full of love, joy and wisdom with him is over.

“He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. “Sending you love in the stars, Dad, as you soar.”
Paul died of natural causes after struggling with various health problems in recent years.
His wife Dee Dee, whom he married in 2014, said in a statement: “Our hearts are broken, there will never be another Paul Sorvino, he was the love of my life and one of the greatest artists to ever grace the screen .’Stage.’
Thanks Dad: A clip of Sorvino paying tribute to her father Paul Sorvino during her 1996 Oscar acceptance speech went viral after his death at age 83
In addition to Mira, Paul was also the father of Amanda and Michael and had five grandchildren.
Sorvino from Romy and Michele’s “High School Reunion” made the rounds when she mentioned her father Paul during her Oscar acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1995 film “The Mighty Aphrodite.”
The clip was touching because when Mira said on stage that her father Paul taught her everything she knew about acting, he covered his face with his hands and burst into tears as he sat next to her mother Lorraine Davis.

One of my favorite Oscar moments was when Mira Sorvino won Best Supporting Actress for Mighty Aphrodite and took a moment to thank her father, Paul Sorvino, who was visually touched.

The speech took place at the 68th Academy Awards in 1996 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles.
“Giving me this award is honoring my father, Paul Sorvino, who taught me everything I know about acting,” said Mira, who wore her blonde hair pulled back in a bun and added a stunning diamond necklace.
“I love you very much, Dad,” she added.
Shortly after the news of Paul’s death, Mira expressed her sadness on Twitter.
“My father, the great Paul Sorvino, has passed away. My heart is torn – a life full of love, joy and wisdom with him is over. He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. “Sending you love in the stars, Dad, as you soar.”

The gold: She won the award for her role as a wise-cracking streetwalker opposite Woody Allen in the 1995 film “Mighty Aphrodite.”
The two were always close.
In April, she wished him a happy 83rd birthday. “Happy birthday to my dad Paul Sorvino,” she wrote on Twitter alongside a black-and-white throwback photo of herself and her dad.
“I miss you so much and hope to be together again in person soon!” added the Barcelona star.
When Sorvino learned that Mira was among the women allegedly sexually harassed and blacklisted by Harvey Weinstein as part of the #MeToo reckoning, he told TMZ that if he had known, Weinstein “wouldn’t be leaving. “He would be in a wheelchair.”
Heartbroken daughter: Mira posted a tribute to her late father on Monday: “A life full of love, joy and wisdom with him is over”
“He better hope he goes to jail.” Because if we come over [each other] I think he’ll be on the floor,” Sorvino told the news outlet in 2018.
“He’s going to jail, that bastard. ‘And good for him if he goes, because if he doesn’t go he’ll have to meet me.’
Then he added, “And I’m going to kill that bastard.”
Mira claimed Weinstein’s attempts to contact her began in 1995 when she was promoting her role in Woody Allen’s “Mighty Aphrodite.” He began massaging her shoulders while the two were alone in a hotel room at the Toronto Film Festival, according to Mira, who said he then tried to go further, but she was able to fight him off at that point.

A few weeks later, he managed to bypass her doorman and get to her apartment around midnight, whereupon she told him that her boyfriend was on the way after calling a male friend to rush over to her place.
Mira believes that this rejection of Weinstein ultimately damaged her career.
“Maybe there were other factors, but I definitely felt thwarted and felt like my rejection of Harvey had something to do with it,” the actress said.
Mira later added that her story “pales” in comparison to some others.
