The video was posted to Reddit yesterday with the caption: “A close decision for this Ukrainian fighter.
“A bullet appears to have penetrated his helmet but missed his head.”
People were quick to express their shock at the video, with one commenting: “Damn son! You most certainly have an angel on your shoulder.’

The video was posted to Reddit yesterday with the caption: “A close call for this Ukrainian fighter.”
However, helmets used by soldiers are reportedly not often designed to stop bullets, but rather to protect against debris and splinters.
The clip comes as “hundreds of Russian troops” were killed in a Ukrainian HIMARS attack on a barracks in Makiivka in the eastern Donbass region, just as Vladimir Putin was delivering his televised New Year’s speech.
Russian commanders were among the dead in the attack, which took place minutes before midnight on December 31, reports said.
It was initially impossible to verify the claims, but it is clear on both sides that the Russian president has suffered a major blow and is the latest in a growing list of embarrassments Moscow’s armies have suffered since the invasion began on February 24 to have.
