Alessia Rovegno was born in Peru but is of Chiava origin and recently triumphed by winning the title of “MISS PERU”.

Grandfather Mario Rovegno came from Tribogna and grandmother Maria Rosa Bacigalupo from Moconesi.
Very young emigrants to Lima, the capital of Peru, made their fortunes as bakers and confectioners. Today the business is continued by his son Lucio, Alessia’s father.
The grandmother now lives in Via Trieste in Chiavari, as do aunts Silvana and Lorena.

The countdown to the Miss Universe finals has officially begun. The winner of the competition will be announced today, January 14th, although the preliminary round results will be announced on January 11th. In this first elimination round, all participants appeared in front of the jury in evening wear, national costume and bathing suit. It will therefore have to wait until tomorrow to know everyone’s scores and who has gained access to the finals. Italy cheer on 24-year-old Virginia Stablum from Trentino, but also Alessia Rovegno.
