R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA, was named “The Most Beautiful in the World”. She works as a designer and teaches sewing to women who have been victims of violence.
The American R’Bonney Gabriel She was crowned 71st miss universe. 28 years old, originally from Houston, Gabriel works as a model, stylist and sewing teacher: Through her profession she helps women victims of violence to get out of difficult situations. The new Miss Universe is the first Filipino-American woman to win the Miss USA crown.
The final of Miss Universe 2022
The most famous beauty pageant in the world took place in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday January 14th, attended by 84 women from as many countries. For the first time, the competition was organized by the new owner, JKN Global Group PCL, trans tycoon and activist Anne Jakkaphong. Italy in the competition was represented by Virginia Stablum, twenty-four of thirty. The podium comes entirely from the American continent: second and third place went to Amanda Dudamel from Venezuela and Andreína Martínez from the Dominican Republic.

R’Bonney Gabriel is a model, stylist and sewing teacher: Her work, she says, is geared towards protecting the environment and helping women in need: “I give sewing lessons to women who have survived human trafficking and domestic violence. And I say that because it’s so important to invest in others, to invest in our community.”

During the competition, the American competitor spoke of the age taboo for women: Gabriel entered the competition at 28, the maximum age for participation. “I would like to see an increase in the competitive age because I am 28 years old, the oldest age to compete. And I think that’s a beautiful thing. As a woman, I think age doesn’t define us. It’s not tomorrow, it’s not yesterday, it’s now. The time is now.”
