Linda Vinette, 61, missing since February 21, was found lifeless in her vehicle this afternoon after police set up command posts to try to find her.

The sixty-year-old's vehicle was seen by a citizen while it was parked on a street in Saint-Jérôme, not far from the Côté Parent Park. “The missing woman was lying lifeless inside. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead,” said the Sûreté du Québec.

On Tuesday, Sûreté du Québec investigators set up two command posts with the aim of gathering information that could advance the investigation into the disappearance.

The last time Linda Vinette was seen alive was in a Kia Soul.
Linda Vinette, a Sainte-Sophie resident, was last seen on Feb. 21 on Boulevard des Entreprises in Terrebonne driving a Kia Soul.
In the days following the disappearance, Linda Vinette's relatives took to social media to ask the public for help. The day of February 21st “looked like it was completely normal,” one reads in particular, while Ms. Vinette had gone to a dentist appointment in the morning.
