Mixer. Twenty Years of Television RAI Press Office

The “Face to face” with Paolo Conte, a new tribute to Gianni Minà and his magnificent guests and an in-depth study of Padre Pio are at the heart of “Mixer. Twenty Years of Television” – broadcast Thursday 20 April late evening on Rai 3 and Wednesday 26 April prime time on Rai Storia – where Giovanni Minoli continues his reading of current events through his famous magazine.
Giovanni Minoli’s Face to face with Paolo Conte dates back to 1989: at the Olympia in Paris, the chansonnier lawyer, who recently became the first singer-songwriter to appear at the Scala in Milan, talks about his origins, his relationship to great international success, with women and with his hometown Asti.
The homage to Gianni Minà continues and his encounters with the timeless greats: Giorgio Strehler, Ornella Vanoni, Mariangela Melato and Caterina Caselli from Blitz 1983 play live on “Ma mi”, as does an unreleased Carla Fracci, also in a rock key.
The episode is also enriched by a special study from 1991 on the story of Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, between popular devotion and the controversies that accompanied the story of the Saint of the Stigmata, also with images of the last Mass that took place on September 23rd celebrated in 1968.
