After spending all of last season at the AAA level with the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Charles Leblanc signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.
The Quebecer will therefore return to the American team after being selected in the fourth round by the Texas Rangers in 2016. The 27-year-old athlete has never played for the Texas team and had to wait until 2022 to make a great debut in Major Baseball with the Miami Marlins.

Thanks to this new agreement, Leblanc could have the opportunity to attend the Angels’ training camp and begin the season with the major baseball team.
Last year, he posted a .253 batting average and also hit 12 home runs with the Jumbo Shrimp. The shortstop played in 48 major league games over his career, scoring 11 runs and posting a .263 average at the plate.
