Quebec native Abraham Toro was traded from the Milwaukee Brewers to the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday.
In return, the Brewers will receive pitcher Chad Patrick, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Toro has played in just nine games with the Brewers in 2023, hitting two home runs and recording nine RBIs. He maintained a .444 batting average.
In 96 games at the AAA level, Toro maintained a .291 batting average with eight home runs and 58 RBIs.
Toro had played 109 games in Major Baseball with the Seattle Mariners in 2022. The Longueuil native began his major league career with the Houston Astros in 2019 and played 93 games in three seasons for that team.
