Major League Baseball’s 2024 regular schedule will begin with a two-game miniseries between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres on March 20-21 in Seoul, it was announced Wednesday.
Consequently, these will be the first season games in history to be played in South Korea. The last time the major leagues launched a campaign outside of the United States was in 2019, when the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners met in Tokyo, Japan.

“I never imagined getting the opportunity to represent the Padres and baseball in my home country,” infielder Ha-Seong Kim said, as reported by USA Today. I cannot put into words how happy I am to play in South Korea. It will be a special moment for me.”
Stops in Mexico City and London are also planned for next year. In Mexico, the Houston Astros take on the Colorado Rockies on April 27-28, while in the UK, the New York Mets take on the Philadelphia Phillies on June 8-9.
The Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays will meet during training camp March 9-10 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The Jays will start on the street
The Toronto Blue Jays on Thursday announced their game schedule for the 2024 season, which will begin with three consecutive series.
The home opener takes place on April 8th against the Seattle Mariners. This delay at the beginning of the year will allow the organization to complete the final work on the Rogers Centre. On this day, the results of the second renovation phase will be presented to the public.
