Since the launch of the mobile application on Wednesday, there were 1,407 downloads by Thursday evening, showing that the digital initiative from Éditions Nordiques was expected.
You can download for free the Éditions Nordiques mobile application, which brings together the Nord-Côtier, Manic, Haute-Côte-Nord and Charlevoisien newspapers.
The growing number of downloads undoubtedly demonstrates this interest in high quality regional information produced by a team of around fifteen journalists from Charlevoix to Minganie via Forestville, Baie-Comeau and Sept-Îles.
The people of Charlevoix and the North Shore have no reason not to be informed. In addition to the weekly paper editions and the website, there is a modern and user-friendly mobile application, which took almost a year to work on.
The user can select the news they want to read, receive notifications on important news, integrate their activities into a calendar and participate in their favorite media as a citizen journalist. The app is available on Apple and Android devices.
There are still some technical issues to be resolved, which is normal when an innovation of this type comes out. It is recommended to enable automatic updates or keep an eye out for a new version in the coming weeks.
