Model Charlie Austin breaks up with Scott Robertson and starts dating Poata Okeroa

EXCLUSIVE: Marital failure in society as the Australia’s Next Top Model star splits from his restaurateur husband and hooks up with a nightclub boss known for his infamous ‘no tattoos’ rule

Australian model Charlie Austin has confirmed her split from restaurant owner husband Scott Robertson by going public with another hotel celebrity.

Austin, 30, has been sharing beloved posts with nightclub boss Poata Okeroa on Instagram for the past few months, without saying anything about the breakup of her previous marriage.

There is no indication of an overlap between the two relationships.

Okeroa is a business partner of entrepreneurs Julian Tobias and Eric Jury, owners of late-night hotspots Sussudio in Potts Point and Flamingo Lounge in Kings Cross.

Last year he made headlines for banning diners with visible tattoos, “designer-branded clothing” and “heavy jewelry” from his Middle Eastern restaurant and nightclub, Bedoin, in Double Bay.

The controversial dress code was introduced to “prevent intimidating performances,” he said at the time.

The couple have been romantically linked since November last year and have celebrated a number of milestones together including New Year’s Day, Charlie’s recent 30th birthday and a romantic getaway to the exclusive Osborn House Hotel.

Though she’s Instagramming her new romance all over the place, little is known about Austin’s split from Robertson – the owner of Glass Island, a floating restaurant on Sydney Harbour.

The former reality star, who appeared on the seventh season of Australia’s Next Top Model in 2011, has quietly reverted to her maiden name on Instagram after previously being called Charlie Robertson.

The couple tied the knot at French wedding venue Deux Belettes in the Byron Bay hinterland in 2019.

To mark the one-year anniversary, she posted an exuberant tribute to her husband.

“365 days as Mrs. Robertson!” Being married to you is a dream. “You are the kindest sweetest man I have ever known with the most beautiful soul,” she wrote.

“I’m so thankful for you and the way you love me.” Happy anniversary baby. I will carry your heart forever.’

Before Austin tied the knot, he was spotted aboard Leonardo Di Caprio’s super yacht in 2015, anchored in the Mediterranean Sea during the Cannes Film Festival.

She had a small role in the actor’s hit film The Great Gatsby and is believed to have been one of the models he partied with when filming wrapped in Australia in 2012.

Austin has managed campaigns for brands such as Running Bare, Bras N Things, Moontide Swimwear and Homebodii.

A spokesman for Austin declined to comment on their fractured marriage.
