Model Megan Gale is making her big return to acting with a role in George Miller’s film Three Thousand Years of Longing, starring Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton
Model Megan Gale stars alongside Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton in George Miller’s upcoming Australian-produced blockbuster Three Thousand Years of Longing.
The 46-year-old, who has dabbled in acting, shared the film’s poster on her Instagram page on Sunday and said she was “forever grateful” to have worked with Miller again.
Megan almost played Wonder Woman in Miller’s film Justice League: Mortal after it was canceled ahead of its scheduled 2009 release.

Alongside the poster for the film, which stars Elba and Swinton, Megan wrote, “Forever grateful to once again have the opportunity to work with the brilliant George Miller and his amazing crew on another epic production.”
It is not known what role Megan will play in the film, which was produced in Sydney last year and hits theaters on August 31.
The $60 million film sees academic Dr. Alithea Binnie (played by Swinton) in Istanbul granted three wishes from a genie (played by Elba) in exchange for his freedom.

Though wary at first, she makes a wish that surprises them both.
The film’s premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday night was a triumph.
Variety reports that the packed audience gave the film a six-minute standing ovation.

Meanwhile, in February, Megan considered almost playing Wonder Woman in Justice League: Mortal after it was cancelled.
Megan shared a photo of the film’s revised script to her Instagram Stories in 2007, along with stills of her in costume.
She told her followers that while the role was “never intended,” she was “still grateful” as the opportunity to play the lead still led to great things.
