The camera footage shows the dramatic moment when a New York State Trooper shot and killed a “unbalanced driver” and said “you’re stupid**” as the man slid onto a ramp and died.
Trooper Anthony Nigro, a 14-year veteran, is currently under investigation after he stalked James Huber, 38, shortly after 11:00 a.m. Feb. 12, according to multiple videos released by Attorney General Letitia James’s office.
One video shows Nigro approaching Huber after he exited Interstate 90 and began driving through downtown Buffalo.
Nigro, who makes $168,182 a year, gets out of his car with a gun at the ready and points it at Huber, who is still sitting in his car in the middle of the street.
“Get the fuck out! Get the hell out.. Get the hell out! Get out!’ he shouts.
“Go away,” Huber replies.
Nigro grabs Huber by the jacket and tries to pull him out. Nigro then fires his gun at the driver’s seat. Huber’s car suddenly reverses and rolls over the ramp.
“You dumbass,” says Nigro, calling an ambulance. It is not clear if he was referring to himself or the suspect.
The GoFundMe for Huber’s funeral says Huber “has kids who now need to bury their father and live without a father.”

Attorney General James said the Office of Special Investigations is investigating the incident under state law, which requires a review every time a law enforcement officer is involved in the death of a civilian.
According to the Buffalo News, the state’s attorney’s office said the videos were released “to increase transparency and build public confidence in these matters.”

“He’s dead,” Nigro says. “Yes,” the stranger answers.
“So are you okay?”
“Yes, I will be a god,” Nigro replies, at one point turning his hand to get a closer look at the cut.
He returns to his radio: “Slow down everyone. It’s OK. The driver is dead. We need a tow truck and a warden, but slow down all units.
Meanwhile, a black cruiser is speeding down the street.
Nigro gives several instructions to block the intersection. Soon a man appears and introduces himself as a sergeant.

Gov. Kathy Hochul released a statement on the day of the persecution.
“This morning one of our soldiers shot and killed a motorist after a car chase in Buffalo,” she said. “I have instructed the New York State Police to cooperate fully with the Attorney General’s independent investigation. While we wait for a transparent and thorough examination of the facts, our thoughts are with the victim’s family and our soldiers.”
A GoFundMe page for Huber raised $250 for the funeral.
“My daughter’s father, James Matthew Huber, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of February 12, 2022,” Arnold wrote.
“He was shot and killed by the Buffalo police and we are trying to raise some money to help his mom cover funeral expenses so he can have a proper funeral and funeral without burdening her. She lost two sons, and no mother should bury her children. James also has children who now have to bury their father and live without a father. Everything helps.
The Facebook fundraiser raised $570.
“Any donation will go towards the funeral and funeral expenses. And anything helps. Jimmy was a famous person, good or bad, he had a heart of gold,” wrote Arnold. “Please help at a time like this. He did not deserve such care.
