Sunrise Weatherman Sam Mac Finds His Autobiography in a Charity Store After It Was Sale to $1 at Kmart: ‘Dreams Come True’
Sam Mac recently discovered that his autobiography, Accidental Weatherman, had been discounted to $1 at Kmart.
And after that bargain discovery, the Sunrise weather presenter was dealt a new blow when he found his book at a charity shop this week.
He shared a video on Instagram of him browsing the bookshelves of a Salvation Army store only to discover his tome among the titles for sale.
Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac (left, with two exotic dancers on Thursday) has revealed how he discovered his autobiography, which was selling for a few dollars at a Salvation Army charity store
He poked fun at himself by playing Gabrielle’s song Dreams in the background, implying that his ‘dreams’ had ‘come true’ by publishing his book, which he had been working hard on for months during the Covid pandemic second-hand for sale found only a few dollars.
Sam’s book describes his rise to fame on morning TV and how a boy from Adelaide landed one of the most famous TV jobs without knowing the slightest bit about meteorology.
During his time as a roving weatherman, he’s swum with sharks, jumped on a bungee cord, and even gone to the Logies with his mom.

In July, Sam laughed that his autobiography was available on Kmart for $1.
He posted on Instagram a screenshot of a text message from a friend telling him the book had been slashed to a fraction of its MSRP.
The prankster then raced to his nearest Kmart to find out “what they valued more than my book.”

To his dismay, he discovered that tic tacs were on sale for $2, double the Accidental Weatherman’s price.
He also found a $6 food scoop and a $7 padlock at the department store.
