The unsuspecting delivery man went about his usual day until he was presented with a hair-raising surprise upon arriving at a doorstep in Manchester, Connecticut, USA.
Footage captured by the homeowner's doorbell camera shows the worker carefully placing the package on the ground for just a few seconds before a dog darts towards him at frightening speeds.
The petrified man takes no chances, sprinting and screaming in terror, leaving his open and unattended van far behind him in the dust.

When the shaken Amazon employee was well across the street and out of view of the camera, the homeowner opened her door to retrieve the pet.
She called to the animal to return to the property and repeated, “Come here, Nala!” Come!'
As Nala casually strolls back to her front yard, the woman screams at the frightened Amazon driver, claiming the animal didn't do anything bad and remarking that she was “just being friendly.”
After finally sending the worker screaming through the cold snow down the street, Nala finally returns to her warm home wagging her tail happily.
The incident occurred shortly after another Amazon driver attempted to steal a woman's puppy from her yard by smuggling it into his delivery truck.
Henry County resident Terrika Currence recorded the wild incident involving a delivery driver and her dog.
The Amazon driver was in the process of dropping off a package at Currence's home when the dog snatching attempt occurred.
“As I open the door to put the package and dog food in the house, my daughter screams and says, 'The Amazon guy stole our puppy,'” Currence recalls.
Currence owns her own skin care company called Beyond Skin Deep and says she immediately dropped the skin care products and rushed outside to save the dog.
In a video of the confrontation that has since gone viral, Currence swings open the back door of the Amazon truck and yells at the driver.
Nala the dog chased the delivery driver down the street through the cold snow, causing him to scream, but her owner claims she was just being “friendly.”
“As soon as I opened the truck, he had the puppy in a trash can. “I had to grab the puppy and get him off the truck,” she told WSB-TV Atlanta.
Although no charges have been filed against the unnamed Amazon driver, Currence is certain he was in the process of running off with her dog.
“He was willing to have his way with our dog,” she said, adding that he did not apologize or provide an explanation.
Currence called police, who are reportedly investigating. She also filed a complaint with Amazon.
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to local news that the driver had been fired.
“We have apologized to the customer and are pleased that his dog was returned unharmed.” “The driver involved no longer delivers for Amazon and we have contacted law enforcement to assist with the investigation,” it said Statement from Amazon.
