Mon: IDF discovers explosives in a playground in the northern Gaza Strip Il Tirreno

Tel Aviv, December 31st. (Adnkronos) – Soldiers from the IDF's 14th Reserve Brigade discovered explosive devices in a children's playground attached to a kindergarten on the outskirts of the Shati refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The devices had been prepared and rendered harmless before the soldiers were expected to arrive. The Jerusalem Post writes this, adding that during the operation the Israeli army identified four Hamas terrorists who came at them with explosive devices. An Israeli Air Force plane counterattacked the cell. About half an hour later, troops identified four more terrorists in the area, who were subsequently killed in an airstrike. At the same time, a vehicle with terrorists on board was identified approaching IDF troops in the south of Gaza City. A plane hit the group, resulting in the terrorists' elimination. In addition, an IAF fighter jet hit a military complex from which Hamas terrorists had detonated a bomb against IDF soldiers.
