Mont-Tremblant ski resort is the most expensive place to spend New Year’s Eve in Canada, according to a recent Cheaphotels.org survey.

The survey compared overnight accommodation prices for the night ended December 31 in 20 Canadian destinations. The cheapest available double room price was determined for each travel destination. Only central hotels with at least three stars and mostly positive customer reviews were considered.
Mont-Tremblant leads with a price of $880 for the cheapest room, almost 300% more than normal winter rates.
Whistler, North America’s largest ski resort, emerged as the second most expensive destination at $658, while Banff rounded out the top three at $563.
You’ll have to wait for 8th place in the rankings to see a Quebec City again, Quebec City ($353). Montreal ranks 11th at $237 per night.
