According to the Sûreté du Québec, officers from the MRC de Rouville station were called to the Rang Papineau sector in Saint-Paul-d’Abbotsford to rescue a piece of equipment in distress.
The small aircraft would be an ultra-light motorized aircraft. The plane would have run into trouble and attempted an emergency landing in a field.
However, the impact on the ground was violent enough to seriously injure the two men on board. Both people were taken to the hospital. We’re talking about a young man in his twenties and an older man who is caught between life and death.
The help of the firefighters was particularly necessary to free the victims trapped on board the aircraft carcass.
SQ Information Officer Laura Hervé confirms that the Transportation Safety Board, in cooperation with the Sûreté du Québec Serious Crimes Unit, has launched an investigation.
