A passenger who was involved in the bus crash that killed one person while traveling between Montreal and New York on Friday is still in critical condition. On Saturday afternoon, Global Affairs Canada confirmed that this person and the passenger who died Friday are Canadian citizens.
The causes of the accident remain unknown.
One person is currently in hospital with serious injuries. She was flown to the Albany Trauma Center. She is a Canadian citizen, Global Affairs Canada confirmed.
On Saturday afternoon, another Canadian was released from Glens Falls Hospital with minor injuries.
New York State Police confirm that eleven of the passengers were not injured. The other passengers suffered injuries, but there are no concerns for their lives.

The accident occurred in Lake George, near Warrensburg, New York.

Most of the 23 people on the bus were Canadian and spoke French. Two passengers are said to be Swiss citizens and planned to return to Switzerland on Saturday evening. An interpreter was on site to make communication easier.
Eight passengers reportedly returned to New York on Friday afternoon.
FlixBus, which is part of the German company Flix, says it does not want to comment on the nationality or identity of the passengers or the driver.

The Fort William Henry Hotel accommodated passengers and their families free of charge. The hotel told Radio-Canada that everyone it welcomed had left the premises and that not all of those people would be traveling to New York.
Mental health resources were also deployed to the scene. According to Mike Tripodi, a spokesman for the Red Cross, passengers' spirits appeared to be good.

The FlixBus bus was traveling south from Montreal and was carrying 23 people, including the driver.

The bus hasn't been on the highway since Friday evening. Traffic continued as normal.
The New York State Police are currently investigating. Some people reported that the road was not very slippery at the time of the accident.
I drove through this section of highway about an hour before the accident and it was not covered in snow or ice.
Since yesterday, messages of support from the political class have multiplied. Democratic New York Senator Chuck Schumer responded to the situation.
I am closely monitoring the bus rollover situation on I-87. “I would like to thank our brave first responders on site and pray for everyone affected,” he wrote on the social network X on Friday afternoon.
