Montreal store attack: Two suspects arrested –

Two suspects were arrested by Montreal police on Wednesday for kidnapping, violent detention and armed assault at a metropolitan store.

The South Criminal Investigation Section of the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) on Wednesday arrested two suspects who allegedly assaulted a person at a downtown bar on December 16.

The two suspects, Silvio Delcous and Saad Bennaceur, appeared at the Montreal courthouse Thursday morning to face charges of kidnapping, forcible detention, assault, aggravated assault and racketeering.

As a reminder, on December 16, the SPVM police intervened on a seriously injured man outside a building. According to police, he had a broken left rib, a broken right hand and facial injuries.

The attack was allegedly carried out at a commercial building on Ontario Street East.

SPVM investigators searched the store and then arrested Silvio Delcous and Saad Bennaceur at their respective homes.
Two other suspects are still being sought in connection with this attack.
