She had just parked her vehicle in the parking lot of a commercial building at the intersection of avenue J.-J.-Joubert and rue Pierre-Borne when she was the victim of the attack. The shots were reportedly fired from a moving vehicle whose driver fled before police arrived; They had been informed of the shooting by calling 911.

Projectile casings were found on the ground and projectile impacts were noted by the police.

The young victim and witnesses will be questioned by police later Thursday. Investigators and forensic identification technicians must comb the scene of the shooting.
