A crowd of more than a hundred rowdy teenagers turned violent in downtown Chicago as multiple cars caught fire and smashed while music blared in a “teen trend” that left two with gunshot wounds.

Shocking footage showed some teenagers on a bus while others started a massive brawl after descending on Millennium Park on Saturday night.

Gunfire erupted, with some rounds hitting two boys, ages 16 and 17, and cars were destroyed near East Washington Street in the Windy City, including a Tesla costing up to $120,000.

The two youths were taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition, but no arrests were made, although officers rushed to the scene.

According to NBC Chicago, huge street gatherings are being dubbed “teen trends” that are spreading invitations to teenagers across the city, and Saturday’s incident comes a day after another 14-year-old teenager died at another gathering in the city shot near 31st Avenue Beach.

During Saturday night’s chaos, a passer-by in the driver’s seat of his car was attacked by illegal teenagers and had to be taken to hospital.

It seemed like the police were unable to deal with the crowd and were seen escorting innocent passers-by and tourists to safety.

“It’s heartbreaking, kids are fighting, chasing each other, some of them have guns,” an unidentified witness told NBC Chicago.

“It’s really heartbreaking when one of them actually gets hurt and regrettably that happened last night.”

The witness added that the police didn’t stand a chance against the crowd.

“There were many police officers here, but they were still outnumbered,” the witness said. “There were so many teenagers showing up and they were trying to keep the peace and keep them under control.”

A burning Tesla was then seen nearby after the shooting.

The rowdy teenagers disrupted the city’s transportation system after several climbed onto a bus. They can be seen dancing while the bus is at a stop.

It’s unclear if anyone was on the bus, but the Chicago Transit Authority said trips were halted due to police activity.

A 14-year-old boy was shot in the thigh around 9 p.m. Friday night. Previously, the authorities were informed of the emergency management and communication about the gathering of 300 people.

Some reports cited that almost 1,000 teenagers were at the Teen Trend event – although this remains unclear.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting.
