A new Rolling Stone report describes Jonathan Major’s pattern of “extreme behavior” allegedly dating back to his days as a student at Yale University. The Marvel actor is currently facing charges in New York City over an alleged altercation with his ex-girlfriend. The case is scheduled to go to court on August 3.

The Rolling Stone report cites more than 20 sources to detail Major’s history of alleged physical, mental and emotional abuse. More than a dozen sources specifically claimed that Majors abused two former romantic partners, including one physically. Many of the sources who spoke to Rolling Stone have asked not to be named for fear of retaliation.

“Jonathan Majors vehemently denies Rolling Stone’s false claims that he physically, verbally or emotionally abused anyone, let alone his former romantic partners,” Majors attorney Dustin A. Pusch said in a statement. “These allegations are based solely on hearsay, as none of the named romantic partners were willing to commit to the Rolling Stone article – proving their complete inaccuracy.”

Majors has also been accused of unprofessional behavior on the set of his upcoming film Magazine Dreams, including an incident in which he allegedly pushed someone.

Allegedly, majors exhibited similar behavior during their acting classes at Yale. “His behavior was very problematic for his class,” a Yale alumni told Rolling Stone. “Many people felt physically endangered and certainly mentally vulnerable because of him.”

“The allegations that Mr. Majors physically fought or physically intimidated anyone on any film set are completely false,” Pusch said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “Anyone who has worked with Mr. Majors knows he employs an immersive, methodical acting style, and while this can sometimes be misconstrued as rudeness, those who know Mr. Majors and work in the industry appreciate his dedication to his craft confirmed.” as well as his kindness.”

After his arrest, Majors was fired by both his talent manager and publicist, and also reportedly lost several film roles. According to the current status, the premiere of “Magazine Dreams” is planned in cinemas in December. Majors remains committed to reprising his character, Kang the Conqueror, in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty — despite Marvel recently pushing back the film’s release date by a year.
