“On September 2, at approximately 2:20 a.m. Moscow time (Friday 11:20 p.m. GMT, editor’s note), the third unmanned Ukrainian semi-submersible, sent by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, was destroyed in the Black Sea,” the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram.

On August 12, two Ukrainian missile attacks were foiled over this strategic bridge in the Kerch Strait.

This bridge, which was built at great expense on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin after the annexation of the Crimean peninsula in 2014, has been the target of Ukrainian attacks on several occasions.

An earlier attack in July caused significant damage to the road section of the structure, which is also used to transport military equipment to the Russian army fighting in Ukraine.

The 18-kilometer-long concrete bridge, inaugurated by Vladimir Putin in 2018, consists of two parallel structures, one reserved for road traffic and the other for rail traffic.

Crimea itself is also a regular target of Ukrainian attacks.
