A mother-of-two was killed during New Year’s Eve celebrations after a firecracker got caught in her clothing before anyone had time to remove it.
Elisangela Tinem, 38, tragically died when fireworks exploded on a Brazilian beach amid gatherings and allegedly some unauthorized fireworks to mark the start of 2023.
A 24-second clip has emerged showing the moments before the tourist died on a beach in Praia Grande, Sao Paulo, which is now being treated as a murder investigation.
The video shows crowds of people standing in the area watching fireworks in the sky.
But suddenly the camera pans around to show flashes of light closer to the ground, followed by a loud bang.
Some people jump away from the explosion while others, including the cameraman, run away.

When the camera pans back, a body appears to be lying on the ground.
Elisangela’s two children are said to have witnessed the death of their mother and her funeral was scheduled to take place this afternoon in the city of Sao Paulo, where she is from.
Witness Luiza Ferreira, 20, told a local newspaper that several unauthorized fireworks took place on the beach, adding: “I saw a huge flash when it got midnight and I hugged my mother and then everyone started screaming.

“I saw a woman lying on the ground bleeding when I went to check and the boy who was with her was also on the ground.
“Other people ran to get away from the area.”
A 41-year-old cousin of the victim reportedly told police the fireworks went off after becoming entangled in her clothing.
It has been confirmed that the pyrotechnic device had not been detonated by the family and a murder investigation is now underway which is expected to result in a manslaughter charge if the person who sent the rocket into the air is found.
A friend wrote on social media: “I can’t believe what happened.
“My love to the whole family. Please God comfort your hearts at this terrible time. I pray for you.’
