A murder among Cuban abakuas has shocked the religious community in Havana, where members of that community are calling for people not to violate the rules.
The victim, identified as Adrián Labrador and known as Macaruchi, was allegedly murdered by a brother of the religion.
“I just learned this sad news that the same Ecobio just took Macaruchi’s life. Until the lack of respect of this religion, my brother, friend and Ecobio rest in peace,” commented the Cuban rider Guerra on Facebook.
Others claim that the man was happy because he received a new title within the religion, that of Obon Iyamba.
