It is a 24-year-old Mexican man named Mario Sanginés who has been officially charged with murder.

During his appearance, his family, friends and local neighbors came to defend him and claimed he was innocent.

His father told Mexican media outlet N+ that he was an uneventful man who grew up in the town of Chila, where he went to school, and who is now a plumber and electrician.

“Mario is innocent,” he argues.

Although four people, two men and two women, are said to have been involved in the altercation that led to the death of Victor Masson, only Mr Sanginés has been arrested for the time being.

He remains in custody pending further trial.

The file should be back at the court within a maximum of 2 months.
