Muslims are in mortal danger in Quebec

On March 15, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (CNMC) declared that the lives of Muslims in Quebec were in danger. Funded by Ottawa but opposed by many Muslims, this group of fundamentalists responded to a poll by Angus Reid.

This shows that 52% of Quebecers have a negative opinion of Islam. This led the CNMC to say that in order to counter Quebec in any way, we needed to “discuss this issue as Canadians.” According to President Stephen Brown, this condition is “dangerous to the lives of Muslim citizens”. Several comments are appropriate here.

contempt and dishonesty

First, it is implied that Quebecers are potential assassins because they have unfavorable opinions about Islam. Pure contempt!

That’s even more dishonest. Quebecers are more suspicious than English Canadians of any religion. For example, 37% have a negative attitude towards Christianity.

It’s different among Anglophones, but there’s a common trend with Quebec. It is Islam that receives the highest proportion of negative opinions at 39%. To better denigrate Quebec in English Canada, the CNMC ignores this situation.

Brown’s comments also fuel the theory that there is a link between Bill 21 and anti-Muslim violence. This is the speech of Amira Elghawaby (who worked at CNMC) before she became commissioner for the fight against “Islamophobia”. In 2021, she made a connection between the anti-Muslim attack in London, Ontario and Bill 21.

The same goes for Boufeldja Benabdallah. A few weeks ago, this Muslim leader used a memorial service commemorating the attack on the Quebec mosque to make a connection between that tragedy and Law 21… passed two years later!

The CNMC disputes this legislation and wants the abolition of the exception clause that allows Quebec to partially avoid its invalidation by federal judges. The Council of Muslims recently endorsed comments by Liberal MP for Pierrefonds, Sameer Zuberi, who questioned the existence of the disregard clause.

In the 2000s he worked for the CNMC, then called CAIR-CAN. Zuberi was particularly involved in human rights issues. At the time, his employer was leading a campaign to enforce Sharia law in family law.

polygamy and terrorism

The organization’s board of directors includes Shahina Siddiqui in its ranks. In 2008 she defended polygamy and said she would protect women!

Imam Jamal Badawi also sat on the board. In 2004 he said Hassan Al-Banna was his greatest inspiration. As the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, this Hitler admirer wanted to set up a religious theocracy in Egypt, like in Iran, Afghanistan or the Gaza Strip.

In 2009, Badawi praised Palestinian terrorists attacking Israel. These were “noble mujahideen persevering in the path of Allah. They deserve the title of martyr and are accused of being terrorists.”

This is the history of the Council of Muslims. And today these Islamists dare to accuse us of threatening the lives of some of our fellow citizens!
