Canadiens forward Josh Anderson, who has endured a difficult offensive drought this season, managed a brace against the Islanders and received a nice ovation from the crowd Saturday night after being named the game's first star.
Anderson was speaking to our colleague Renaud Lavoie, as is customary under these circumstances, when he was invited to speak about the support of the team's fans.
“Our fans have been incredible from day one,” he said. Their support is continuous, we notice it every game and we appreciate it.”
This is the moment the audience at the Bell Center gave Anderson a standing ovation. A beautiful moment between passionate fans and a player who really needed a pat on the back.
It can be seen in the main video.
