MUST SEE: a historic goal from goalkeeper Alex Nedeljkovic!

Alex Nedeljkovic achieved an unprecedented feat on Friday evening, becoming the first goalkeeper ever to score two goals in the American Hockey League (AHL).

After scoring his first goal with the Charlotte Checkers in 2018, he made history in a game between the Wilkes-Barre/Stanton Penguins and the Providence Bruins. Nedeljkovic increased the score to 4:2, taking advantage of Brandon Bussi’s departure. Watch the video above.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper even allowed himself a little celebration before being congratulated by his teammates. It is actually his third goal, as he also scored into an empty net in the ECHL in 2016.

It was only Nedeljkovic’s second AHL start of the season. He played two games in the National League for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who acquired him on the free agent market on July 1st.
