the mutinous Russian forces sabotage their own weapons and refuse to obey orders as the Red Army death toll mountsa British spy chief revealed today.
Vladimir Putin “grossly misjudged” how difficult it would be to conquer Ukraine, but he is determined to wage his “personal war” even if his malnourished and poorly armed soldiers give up.
insightful images showed distraught recruits complaining about being “thrown in the shit” with 1940s rifles they don’t work.
the Planes have been accidentally shot down by friendly fire and “Russian command and control are in chaos,” said Sir Jeremy Fleming, head of Britain’s Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ)..
In the face of fierce resistance, Russian troops have bogged down and been pushed back.
the The strategically important city of Trostianets in the north-east was recaptured by the Ukrainians, and the Russian soldiers fled, leaving their uniforms behind.
Putin’s fearful generals hide from him the scale of the battlefield casualties as what should be a blitzkrieg rages on.
GCHQ spies have uncovered rumors of mutiny and discord within the ranks by intercepting phone calls, messages and emails.
Sir Jeremy told an audience in Canberra, Australia: “We know that Putin’s election campaign is fraught with problems: low morale, logistical errors and a high number of Russian casualties. We have seen Putin lie to his own people to hide military incompetence.
“We have seen Russian soldiers, lacking in arms and morale, refuse to follow orders, sabotage their own equipment and even accidentally shoot down their own planes.”
Speaking at the Australian National University, he added: “While we believe Putin’s advisers are afraid to tell him the truth, what is happening and the extent of these miscalculations must be made very clear to the regime.”
He warned that Russia was using foreign mercenaries and fighters as “cannon fodder” to “limit Russian military casualties.”
So far, Russia has lost around 15,000 soldiers and 2,000 military vehicles.
Fleming’s view was shared by US officials, who also say Putin’s advisers are “too afraid to tell him the truth.”
The United States claims that Putin feels “betrayed by the Russian military” and has lost confidence in his top leadership.
A document claims the Russian president “did not even know his military was using and losing recruits, showing a clear failure in the flow of accurate information.”
“We have information that Putin felt betrayed by the Russian military.”
The document said there had been “persistent tensions” between Putin and his defense ministry, stemming from his “distrust” of the ministry’s leadership.
In a sign of desperation that gripped Putin’s forces, video surfaced showing young Russian conscripts complaining about being forced into combat and seeing their comrades being killed.
Huddled in what appears to be a military truck, they said they were being sent into battle “with rifles against Grad missiles.” One says: “They screwed us. What are we doing here?” Another yells: “Our rifles are from the 1940s. They don’t shoot.” They urge viewers to “spread the word” to not support the war.
