Businessman Vincent Guzzo, who is accused of criminally molesting a woman and violating conditions, says he was “very destabilized” by his arrest over the weekend.
“I would nevertheless like to point out that my arrest was very destabilizing not only for me but especially for our three children who have been living with me since November 2022 and who were present at my home when I was arrested,” Ms Guzzo said in a press release, sent to QUB Radio by a communications company.
“I thank the members of my family who mobilized very quickly to come to the house to comfort and support them during these two days,” added the big boss of the Guzzo cinemas.
The 54-year-old man was held at his residence in Terrebonne on Montreal’s North Shore over the weekend. He then appeared outside the Laval courthouse on charges of criminal harassment and breach of terms and conditions.
During the trial, Mr Guzzo spent a night behind bars.
In this case, a court order prevents us from identifying the alleged victim.
Nevertheless, Vincent Guzzo wants to do everything to prove his innocence in court.
“The allegations are denied and vigorously denied,” he said in a statement.
Vincent Guzzo has also made it clear that he wants his privacy and that of his children to be respected “at this difficult time”.
