My goodness, have you changed? Nicole Kidman looks very different as she returns to the cinema she opened 27 years ago

Nicole Kidman stunned as she attended a screening of her upcoming Amazon Prime drama series Expats at the Sydney cinema she opened 27 years ago on Wednesday.

The 56-year-old actress returned to the modest Palace Verona theater in Paddington to launch her new series, almost three decades after she opened the cinema with her film To Die For.

Nicole showed off her smooth porcelain face as she strutted down the red carpet with her husband Keith Urban in a slinky champagne dress.

It looked completely different than when the cinema opened in early 1996.

Her cheekbones appear more prominent and her defined brows now appear stronger and lifted.

The Hours star has previously credited healthy lifestyle choices as the secret to her age-defying complexion.

In 2007, Nicole denied having had plastic surgery and said her flawless skin was the result of her healthy lifestyle.

“To be honest, I'm completely natural,” she told Marie Claire at the time.

“I wear sunscreen and don’t smoke. I take care of myself. I'm very proud to say that.'

However, in 2011, she admitted to getting Botox in an interview with German magazine TV Movie.

“I've tried a lot of things, but other than exercise and good nutrition, most things don't make a difference,” she said.

“I even tried Botox, but I didn't like how my face looked afterward. “Now I've stopped using it and can move my forehead again.”

The Amazon Prime series is based on the book The Expatriates by Janice YK Lee and the first episode is scheduled to release on January 26 next year.

In the series, Nicole plays Margaret, a wealthy American who lives a seemingly idyllic life in Hong Kong with her family – until an unimaginable tragedy occurs and her son goes missing.

Her life ends with two other American women also going through their own trials, including a young woman struggling to let go of the past.
